Baidu using IDNs: very cool!
when i copied and pasted  "百度.在线”    into a browser (i used chrome) it worked great.  check.  no need to prefix it, etc. to “linkify” it.
when i then copied the URL out of the browser and pasted into slack, slack converted it into “xn—“ notation. not check.  it was linkified correctly 
when i prefixed "百度.在线”  with “http://“ typing it into slack, slack did linkify it correctly.  check
when i copy and past "百度.在线” into slack it does not linkify it without also typing in the prefix, slack would linkify it if the TLD was a legacy TLD such as “.com"
so still some work to do on linkification
