It contends that the low uptake of IDNs (~2%) will improve once all application support all IDNs.

It also notes that IDN registrations have fallen markedly in the previous year – part, but not all, of this from a reduction of IDN.vn from almost 1 million to just 5,000.   VN started charging for the names in the year under review.
