Hope for safety and healthy.
Dear Colleagues, How are you during this difficult time? How are your colleagues and business doing? Indian is under lock down for 21 days ending on 14th April. Don’t know how much it will extend. We are 1.3 billion people around 700 Corona positive cases as of now. Is there anything we can do to help each other or something to learn from each other ? Stay healthy and safe. Social Distance is the key. Best wishes. Dr Ajay Data
My be best wishes to everyone, Brazil has been pretty lax about prevention and there will be a price to pay, which is starting to show itself. Cases are rapidly increasing now. I am "lucky" to be in São Paulo, where the governor adopted strong measures even without federal support, but I fear for the country as a whole. I am available to help with COVID-related projects (currently already working on one related to tracking lockdowns), in case anybody needs help. Stay safe, -- Mark W. Dear all Currently, the whole of India is under federal lockdown for a couple of days, as Ajay mentioned. In my province (Kerala), we are cautiously optimistic, as we had started the lockdown even earlier, and had followed reasonably robust protocols for contact tracing, testing and quarantine. This was on account of a large population of locals who work in the Middle East, Europe and North America, and also because of we have a number of international tourists who visit us at any given time. The local IEEE community of engineers is working on several initiatives such as a half-ventilator, 3D-printed N95 masks, CPAP machines etc apart from software-based visualization/tracking applications, in anticipation of a time when the health authorities may not be able to cope with the numbers of patients with ARDS. I do hope all of us are well and continue to keep well in these trying times. With kind regards, satish On Fri, Mar 27, 2020 at 6:48 AM Mark W. Datysgeld <mark@governanceprimer.com> wrote:
