My vote would be to translate any useful open comments into “NOTE: This item is still in open discussion and will be addressed in the next minor revision”-type verbiage, then clean up the document.

Subject: [EXTERNAL] Re : [UA-EAI] Self-Certification Guide document: split, or make comments harder to track?
Dear Jim
Thank you for volunteering and taking on the action item of cleaning up the EAI Self-Certification Guide document for release in ICANN 76.
Either alternative is fine; please do what works best for you. What is crucial is that we have cleaned up version of EAI Self-Certification Guide document , which may be shared at ICANN 76. Yes, there are still few meaningful remarks in
the Guide that we haven`t gone through; we`d be thankful if you could close it as you are one of the experts in this field; if you need any help, please share on the list or call for a meeting on 7th Feb so that we can all participate if necessary. Nonetheless,
we must strive to have a clean version by March 9th, 2023.
Apart from that, @seda Please check if we will need some print copies for distribution there after you receive the cleaned version from JIM; if so, we have to arrange
accordingly.
Thanks
Warm Regards

EAI WG Colleagues:
At today`s meeting, I took on the action item of cleaning up the EAI Self-Certification Guide document for our ICANN76 session on EAI Self-Certification. I am happy to do this.
I would like your suggestions on which of two ways I should choose to accomplish this:
Part of what makes this decision harder is that there are still a lot of substantive comments in the Guide which we have not worked through. For instance, the "EAI Communication and Messaging" section is not really complete.
Which choice do you suggest? I will be glad to hear your suggestions for a few days, then I will make a decision. Note that there are many formatting improvements which I can make without waiting.
Best regards,
—Jim DeLaHunt
