With respect to ‘big name’ MTAs, my understanding is that both PostFix and Exim MTAs are EAI ready.
Once we find someone to perform the EAI evaluation we’ll have a clearer idea of just how ready they (and others) are.

Since some email service providers have supported EAI, some Big-name MTAs and email providers should be also persuaded to upgrade at least receive and send EAI address while their own system can still keep ASCII email address.
Gmail already does that.

When I see them at the M3AAWG meeting in March I can certainly ask them
what their EAI plans are. But I can magically predict they'll say that in
the markets they serve they don't see a business case yet.
