Some of us are quite new to the process of how such advisory groups work. Could an experienced member briefly outline the steps we will be following? I assume that conference calls would form a major component of the deliberations.

We are not talking about any 'conflicts'. We are talking about how ICANN implements its statutory obligation to respect local laws.
