Thank you for your participation to the meeting on 12 January 2023.

The group discussed two important items:

1. Outcomes Report

The group decided to give participants time to suggest text until 16 January 2023 23:59UTC. Based on the nature of the suggestions, the group will decide on the mailing list whether these changes were substantially different from the CCWG-Accountability WS2 – Final Report that Board adopted and accordingly, whether a public comment forum is needed by 18 January 2023 23:59UTC.

2. Draft Diversity Survey

The survey document has been updated in line with feedback received. Yellow highlighting has been used where the changes were straightforward; teal highlighting has been used for the questions for which further input is required. Please review the document, specifically the sections in teal, and comment on the document with your thoughts.

See below for specifics on where input is required.

• For Q5, input is needed for wording/categories for At-Large involvement.
• For Q10, input is needed on the wording for this question (about underserved/indigenous communities), whether there are other categories your groups would be interested in, whether or not you'd like to define the terms (and if so, which definitions you'd like to use).
• For Q13, input is needed on wording, as well as whether this should replace Q12 or be posed in addition to it.
• For Q14, please confirm if this is how the European framework is used in SSAC (and if this is how this group would like to see it used in this survey).
• For Q19, input is needed on whether the addition of ‘vocational’ and ‘training’ is broad enough to cover the areas of concern. I will then update wording accordingly for Q20 and Q21.
• Q24 about other types of organizations has several options to consider:
  • (a) Delete the question;
  • (b) Change to “Do you hold, or have you held leadership positions in any of the following types of organizations groups?” Select all that apply;
  • (c) Change to "Do you hold or have you held leadership positions in any of the following types of organizations groups?" with solely Yes/No options;
  • (d) Leave question intact but limit categories below to solely those related to Internet governance - would a, b, f, g suffice?; (e) Leave question intact but remote d (political organizations);
  • (f) Other - your choices welcome!

We will review these on the next call and move to Q25 onwards, so please review the remaining questions as well, and note any suggestions so we can be prepared to discuss them on the next call. I see some of you have already started the conversation and I appreciate that and welcome further comments. Feel free to go through the doc and made additional/alternative notes, and feel free to tweak my wording below however you like, of course.
