The major action item that the group agreed is as follows:

Currently, there are two venues where diversity related complaints can be addressed to, the Ombudsman and the Complaints Office. While complaints that originated from ICANN community and directed to parts of the community can be addressed by the Ombudsman, complaints directed to ICANN org can be addressed by the Complaints Office. During the meeting, group agreed to share types of (real or hypothetical) diversity complaints that might be outside of these two structures’ remit. Please share by replying all to this email.

Another action item was for staff to set a meeting in late May and invite the Ombudsman and the Complaints Office to give this group an idea regarding their scope. The meeting is set and will take place on 18 May 2023 at 2000UTC. Devan will send you the meeting details along with an invitation.

Below, please find updates from the last meeting:

• Surveys are finalized. Once the other parts of the toolkit are ready, their final versions will be shared with the members of this group and SO/AC/Groups.
• A roadmap was shared with members of the CCG, and the timeline was found realistic.
• Upon completion of Rec 1.7, work will start to address Rec 3 (related to all SO/ACs) and then Rec 2.3 (related to five EC participating entities, ASO, ccNSO, GNSO, ALAC, GAC).
