Dear All,
After 2 calls for input, we have not received any feedback nor confirmations for tomorrow’s call. Therefore I am cancelling tomorrow’s call.
I am now going to approach this another way, attached is the draft with the suggested changes based on our conversations with the ASO in Johannesburg. If I do not hear any objections or have any additional substantive suggestions for
changes by August 22, I am going to ask Bernie to forward to the ASO representatives for their input. I would prefer to have the feedback of our subteam first but I will take silence as consent to forward to ASO.

Subject: FW: Revised W2 Guidelines For Good Faith... based on ASO Discussions
Importance: High
Dear All,
Just a reminder that we have this item outstanding. I have asked Bernie to call a meeting for this coming Wednesday, August 16 so we can discuss and approve for ASO feedback.
Please let me know 1) if you have an opinion about the change and 2) if you plan to be on the call.
This is important as I will be out of pocket from August 19-28. IF we don’t take this up now, we have to wait until September.
Thanks.

Subject: Revised W2 Guidelines For Good Faith... based on ASO Discussions
Importance: High
Dear WS2 Guidelines Colleagues,
Attached please find my suggested revisions to the guidelines based on the conversations that we had with the ASO in Johannesburg. Those discussions centered on the fact that the ASO operates quite differently than ALAC, GAC, GNSO in terms
of how it delegates decision-making. The concept of “membership” as we would understand it on the GNSO side does not fit. In effect, the decisionmaking for the ASO falls to a set of representatives and each organization underneath may have different ways
of designating those representatives. The organizations may or may not have members as we understand the term. The core issue is with the term “members” when it comes to overall transparency and review of proposed board removal actions.
I think that my solution may work and ask for your input ASAP so that we can forward to the ASO for feedback. If you think a call is required, then we can schedule one for next Wednesday at our usual time. Otherwise, we can use the list.
If you desire a call, please let me know so we can schedule one.
Thank you.
