Cheryl, All,

 

I have a suggestion for the list of questions. I think it might help the various SO/ACs if we could clarify what we “mean” by accountability in these questions. Maybe we could use the various characteristics we had identified early on in our CCWG problem statement :

-        Transparency

-        Consultation

-        Review or redress mechanisms

-        Checks and balances

-        Independence

 

My impression is that it would be easier for SO/ACs to answer the questions in a consistent manner if we can be explicit on that.

Please use the link below to access read and comment upon the 1st Draft of Questions for the ICANN Community (AC's and SO's).   These are based upon some of our previous discussions on this matter.  The Document is open for Comment between now and our meeting this week, when we will review comments received, discuss editing further and hopefully move forward towatds a final set of proposed questions to be sent t the AC's and SO's as soon as practical.
