I’m bringing your attention to this proactive advice regarding the WSIS+20 review issued by the Advisory Network of the Freedom Online Coalition. It aligns with many of the ideas shared on this mailing list about renewing the IGF mandate and aligning the GDC implementation as part of the WSIS ecosystem. The advice also advocates for the multistakeholder model, although it didn’t explicitly mention the NM+10 outcomes as a reference.

There’s another item that we shouldn’t ignore. This advice also calls for reinforcing digital inclusion as a WSIS priority, given that “digital inequality persists.” Keeping this argument in mind will be essential to making WSIS+20 a process focused on bolstering the WSIS Action Lines to advance digital progress (and align the GDC under this ecosystem) rather than a referendum on the consensus about the multistakeholder approach for Internet Governance.
