Dear Herve I am just reading your contributions to the current calls for nominations and my attention drawn to Dr. Jabera rejoinder. First, it is very wrong for you as current GS to be partisan in trying to influence whom the community support or not support. You are GS to everyone here and NO WHERE IN THE HISTORY of AFRALO Leadership has ANYONE- GS or Chairman OPENLY canvas for votes for members seeking electoral value. You have by this singular action abused your office as GS. All you owe anyone of those contesting is your vote. Going ahead to canvas for votes openly is an impeachable offence if you ask me. I know you are doing this albeit to gratify some of these members over their roles in your emergence at our keenly contested GS election. You don't have to rub it on our faces. I have supported you as GS but I can never support what is wrong. Please, withdraw your letter and apologise to all the members here for your partisanship. This is not acceptable. As to Dr. Jabera proposal for accountability and transparency by anyone we have elected to give account of their stewardship...hmmmm...that is a tall order going by the culture of the mafia like operations within AFRALO as to who becomes what. It is a system that can only be solved if all of you had supported my proposed amendments to our rules of procedures in terms of tenure and how many times anyone can contest. I hope one day, you will all come to appreciate those proposals. I'm in the interim, *Me I go dey sit down look* . Yes. We are watching. Note: in the midst of all these do not get me wrong, there are still leaders who have demonstrated good leadership quality like Hadia few others. Let us hope and pray that, she will bequeath us a lasting legacy that will set the stage for a renewed and revitalised AFRALO and not the current band wagon mentality after her 4 yrs tenure. God bless AFRALO. *Pastor Peters Osawaru OMORAGBON* *-Executive President/CEO Nurses Across the Borders Humanitarian Initiative-(an NGO in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations-ECOSOC)* *-First Nigerian United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Designated Contact Person-since 2004* *-**Permanent United Nations Representative for Nurses Across the Borders-since 2005* *-Director for International Liaison, Nigerian Nurses Charitable Association, United Kingdom-NNCA-UK).* *-President, Diaspora Nurses Association of Nigeria-DNAN* *-Fellow Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers-ICANN-Since 2010* *-Fellow Federal University of Petroleum Resources Centre for Sustainable Development (FUPRECSD)* *-**Fellow, Open Society Institute-Budapest* *-**General Secretary, Civil Society Network of NGOs on Climate Change* *-Board Member-Conference of NGOS in Special Consultative Status with the United Nations-CONGO* *-Member Steering Committee Regional Committee for Africa-CONGO* *-Fellow Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers-ICANN* *-Treasurer-Central Association of Nigerians in the United Kingdom-CANUK 2013-2015* *-Financial Secretary, Central Association of Nigerians in the United Kingdom-CANUK 2015-2017.* *Url: www.nursesacrosstheborders.org <http://www.nursesacrosstheborders.org/>, * On Tue, 15 Apr 2025, 18:22 Matogoro Jabera via AFRI-Discuss, < afri-discuss@icann.org> wrote:
Dear Hervé,
While I support your suggestions, I would be happy if every members would be available to tell us what he/she has managed to achieve while serving their positions.
We should try as much as possible to be away with business as usual kind of selections and nominations. It is high time elected candidates to work beyond their normal expectations to serve us.
This should also imply with you too!

Dear AFRALO colleagues and friends,
Since you entrusted me with your confidence, I have strived to serve our RALO with dedication, relying on our current leaders: *Aziz, Hadia, Bram, Bukola, and Raïhanath*.
I want to assure you that the current leadership team, under Hadia’s guidance, despite our imperfections, works every day with commitment and determination to improve AFRALO in a progressive and inclusive way. We are constantly reflecting on how to better involve all members in the decision-making process, with the goal of building a truly representative and participatory structure.
In this spirit, I encourage you to support the renewal of the mandates of those leaders (*Aziz, Hadia*) who are willing to continue their service, and to endorse the candidacy of our brother *Abdeldjalil *as Vice Chair, as well as our brother *Bram *for the NomCom position.
We need your support and resilient collaboration to continue building a strong and united RALO that reflects the full potential of our continent.
In parallel, I kindly remind you of my call for contributions to the AFRALO joint statement for ICANN83. Your ideas and proposals are most welcome to help elevate our region’s voice on the global ICANN stage.
*Together, let’s make AFRALO shine within the global Internet governance ecosystem.*
With heartfelt thanks,
