La période de nomination pour les positions de représentants d’AFRALO auprès d’ALAC et de secrétaire d’AFRALO s'est terminee le 20 aout 2010. Pour chacune des deux positions, seulement un candidat a été nommé et a accepté la nomination. Par conséquent, chacune des personnes nominées a été affirmée pour la position respective.
Représentant ALAC: Tijani Ben Jemaa
Comme indiqué dans les statuts de l’ICANN article XI, section 2, règle 4c (disponible en anglais sur : http://www.icann.org/en/general/bylaws.htm#XI), le représentant ALAC servira à une limite de deux ans commençant à l'issue de l'assemblée générale ordinaire d'ICANN en 2010 et finissant à l'issue de l'assemblée générale ordinaire d'ICANN en 2012.

Secrétaire d'AFRALO: Aziz Hilali
Comme indiqué dans les principes de fonctionnement d'AFRALO approuvés le 23 octobre 2009 (disponible ici : https://st.icann.org/afralo/index.cgi?afralo_operating_principles_fr), le secrétaire d'AFRALO servira à une limite de deux ans. Son mandat commencera à l'issue de l'assemblée générale ordinaire d'ICANN en 2010 et finira à l'issue de l'assemblée générale ordinaire d'ICANN en 2012.
Selon les principes de fonctionnement d'AFRALO, les fonctions du secrétaire d'AFRALO sont les suivantes: Il ou elle gère toutes les questions concernant l'administration de l'Organisation. Il ou elle doit notamment préparer l’ordre du jour des réunions AFRALO en commun accord avec le président et traiter les demandes d'adhésion. Il ou elle doit également gérer activement les listes de diffusion AFRALO, et disséminer des nouvelles d’AFRALO et d'ICANN, les demandes de commentaires et toute question d'élaboration des politiques aux membres AFRALO par le biais de la liste de diffusion en temps opportun (Partie III de principes de fonctionnement d'AFRALO, article 6.3)

The nomination period for AFRALO Representative in the ALAC and AFRALO Secretary ended on 20 August 2009. For both positions, only one candidate was both nominated and accepted the nomination. Therefore, both of the nominees have been affirmed for their respective position.
AFRALO ALAC Representative: Tijani Ben Jemaa
As stated in the ICANN Bylaws Article XI section 2, rule 4c (available here: http://www.icann.org/en/general/bylaws.htm#XI), the AFRALO ALAC representative will be serving for a term of two years starting at the close of the ICANN AGM in 2010 and ending at the close of the ICANN AGM in 2012.

AFRALO Secretary: Aziz Hilali
As stated in the AFRALO Operating Principles approved on 23 October 2009 (available here: https://st.icann.org/afralo/index.cgi?mou_and_organising_documents), the AFRALO Secretary will be serving for a term of two years. His term will start at the close of the ICANN AGM in 2012 and end at the close of the ICANN AGM in 2012.
According to the AFRALO Operating Principles, the Duties of the AFRALO Secretary are the following: He or she shall deal with all questions concerning the administration of the Organization. He or she shall particularly prepare the AFRALO meetings agenda in close collaboration with the Chairperson and deal with application for membership. He or she shall also manage actively AFRALO mailing list(s), and disseminate AFRALO and "ICANN related news, requests for comments on any policy development issues" to AFRALO members through the mailing list(s) in a timely manner. (AFRALO Operating Principles Part III, Article 6.3)
