Does AFRALO staff received requests from individual candidate applicants belonging to any professional corporation?If yes can you provide those documents allowing us to appreciate it?Or is it a preventativeprocess? Thank you Baudouin, Peters and Yaovi for commenting my mail concerning the individual membership and the vote system. For more clarity, I would like to make the following remarks:
· My mail was a follow-up on the action items decided by the monthly conference call of December.
· The individual membership and the vote system were put on the agenda of the Dakar General Assembly (Issues for discussion and decision) under the request of Yaovi (see AG Agenda: < https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/At-Large+Meetings+-+Wednesday%2 C+26.10.11>

· NARALO adopted the individual membership longtime ago, and EURALO are very close to adopt it as well. LACRALO is using the vote by country since a while. That’s perhaps what incited Yaovi to propose the discussion about those subjects.
· Those 2 issues required a discussion and a decision of the General Assembly so that we keep our Operating Principles as they are or modify them according to the decision of the GA.
· The GA didn’t settle, and decided to deepen the reflection.
· The December Conference call decided to continue the discussion on the list.
· The Brochure reflects the content of the actual Operating Principles. If AFRALO decides to change the membership and/or the vote rules, the Operating Principles would be modified accordingly and the brochure will follow.
I hope that those precisions will contribute to remove your surprise for seeing those issues raised and answer your question about their origin.

· Mon mail représentait un suivi des points à suivre décidés par la téléconférence du mois de Décembre.
· L’affiliation individuelle et le système de vote étaient inscrits à l’ordre du jour de l’Assemblée Générale de Dakar sous la rubrique « Points pour discussion et décision » sur demande de Yaovi (voir l’ordre du jour : < https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/At-Large+Meetings+-+Wednesday%2 C+26.10.11>

· NARALO applique l’affiliation individuelle et EURALO s’apprête à le faire. LACRALO applique le vote par pays : C’est peut-être ça qui a incité Yaovi à faire sa proposition
· Ces 2 points nécessitaient une discussion et une décision de l’AG pour soit conserver nos « Operating Principles » tel qu’ils sont, soit les modifier en fonction de la décision de l’AG
· L’AG n’a pas tranché et a décidé d’approfondir la réflexion
· La téléconférence de Décembre a décidé de poursuivre la discussion sur la liste
· La brochure reflète la réglementation actuelle contenue dans nos « Operating Principles ». Si AFRALO décide de modifier l’affiliation et/ou le mode de vote, les « Operating Principles » seront modifiés en conséquence, et la brochure suivra.
