[URGENT] AfRALO Nomcom Representitive Selection, Peocess and Dates
French below - Français ci-dessous Dear AfRALO Colleagues, After agreeing away forward by giving AfRALO more time to select it’s representitive to the Nomcom, I have consulted with AFRALO leaders, Africa’s ALAC members and the incoming elected officers, the consensus was to propose the below selection process : Appointing a Selection Committee : - Fatimata Seye Sylla (current AFRALO Vice Chair) - Seun Ojedeji (incoming AFRALO Chair) -Aziz Hilali (Former Nomcom member) - Dave Kissoondoyal (Former Nomcom member) The selection group will receive the Candidate’s expression of Interests (EOI), review them and select the top 2-3 candidates for voting. The committee will agree on its selection criteria but the main requirements will be : - Experience and knowledge of the requirements and expectations of At-Large and the wider ICANN community. - Experience of selecting candidates for technical working groups, job positions or familiarity with recruitment procedures. Important Dates : - The Announcement : Friday 5 July, 2019 - EOI Submission closing Date : Monday 8 July, 2019 - Committee selection : 8-9 July, 2019 - Voting : 10-11 July, 2019 - Announcement of voting results : Friday 12 July, 2019 It’s a tight time frame but achievable, we appreciate your support to complete this process as soon as possible.
