Dear Hadia, Just a quick follow up on my email below: I would like to express my interest and volunteer for the role of the ALAC Appointee Selection Committee (AASC) for 2024. For the AFRALO community, I currently work for the EGIGFA ALS championing initiatives to build a strong IG involvement base in Ghana. II also serve as a member of the AFRALO RoP Committee. I have contributed as a drafter and a pen-holder for the AFRALO Statement presented during ICANN 77. I have experience reviewing, screening, interviewing and selecting applicants for roles within my private legal field and also for Fellowship positions within the IG ecosystem. I am an ICANN and AFRINIC Fellow. I am currently on the ICANN’s Policy Acceleration Program where I am taking deep dive into policy development capacity building processes to contribute more and meaningfully to policy development within ICANN. I would bring my skills of objectivity, analysis and careful judgment to add value to appointment processes on behalf of AFRALO on the AASC, if I am presented. With respect to my professional background, I am a legal practitioner based in Ghana and also VP for Legal & Engagement for EGIGFA (ALS). My passion is in tech law and I provide advise in technology areas bordering data protection, privacy, telecoms, media etc. I look forward to bringing my experiences to the AASC and to represent AFRALO in the best possible means I can.
