A well contested election.... just that there had to be a winner otherwise you both should feel victorious. To the outgoing secretary welcome back to the members world where you have more time to non-official stuff within AFRALO and with more opportunity to be vocal ;). To the elected secretary; as you requested, you can be sure to count on our support. Congratulation! Cheers! sent from Google nexus 4 kindly excuse brevity and typos. Français ci-dessous ----------------------- As Suen said rightly, it was only because there had to be one single winner, otherwise, you both should feel victorious. First, thank you Philip for the job you did during your term. I’m happy I met you in Durban, and I hope you will continue working with the AFRALO united community especially by contributing in the policy issues activities. And congratulation Barrack; A huge work is waiting for you, and I hope you will closely work with AFRALO Chair and Vice Chair to make AFRALO always successful. It’s your duty, my duty and the duty of every AFRALO member to keep AFRALO united. AFRALO achieved a lot of success during the few last years: it became a model for the other RALOs (Showcase, Face to face capacity building program, AFRALO/AfrICANN joint meeting, MoU signed with AFRINIC, etc.). It was because we was tightly united, and couldn’t continue if we begin to search reasons for division (Anglophones/Francophone, bilingual/monolingual, North/South/East/West/Center, etc.). We are all Africans and we have the same interest, the common interest, the public interest. So all who care about the African common interest will never try to divide the community. Only those who have their own personal interests will do, and I’m sure all the AFRALO community members don’t have other interest than the African common interest. I’m confident that we all will join efforts and push for a successful, credible and well visible AFRALO. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tijani BEN JEMAA Directeur Exécutif Fédération Méditerranéenne des Associations d'Internet (FMAI) Tél : + 216 41 649 605 Mobile: + 216 98 330 114 Fax: + 216 70 853 376 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -----Message d'origine----- De : afri-discuss-bounces@atlarge-lists.icann.org [mailto:afri-discuss-bounces@atlarge-lists.icann.org] De la part de Seun Ojedeji Envoyé : mardi 26 août 2014 06:21 À : AFRALO Cc : afri-discuss Objet : Re: [AFRI-Discuss] Vote Result: AFRALO Regional Election 2014 (Secretary) A well contested election.... just that there had to be a winner otherwise you both should feel victorious. In a purely democratic process, each of us was able to speak freely. A Philippe I sincerely hope to meet one day, I dare say there was a positive chapter in the history of AFRALO. That makes him a resource person to whom we can always call. Barrack actually, this is not the beginning of a new experience, but the continuity of your skill and knowledge will benefit AFRALO. You can all count on our cooperation.
