A mon niveau, j'ai commencé à prendre certaines dispositions techniques et aussi temporelles pour participer correctemment à toutes les téléconférences. yesterday (19th Dec.2008) we had out monthly teleconference which was delayed due to the participation in ICANN Cairo meeting .
With few participants The meeting discussed the lack of participation in AfRALO Teleconferences and concluded that the meetings are not attractive, need earlier planning, an Agenda need to be submitted before the meeting to the mailing list, so ALS could discuss it, by doing this the meetings will be more productive .
The meeting suggested that AfRALO to focus more on the summit issue and start planning for it from now .
Action Item for next meeting : Secretariat with Collaboration of Africa ALAC members to draft an Agenda for 3rd Dec. meeting which should be sent by next week to the mailing list for feedback and comments .

am not sure what you mean by Afralo internal list, we are discssing in Afralo mailing list .
my understanding was that the meeting suppose to be first Wednesday of every month, but i was told in the mailing list that the meeting is planned for 1st Dec. maybe to enable participants of IGF to attend the meeting .

Hi Mohamed, I thinks that the meeting is Wednesday 3 dec I propose also to send to the Afralo Internal list, may be we can got more participation. Please Fatimata, confirm if you can chair the meeting. But I well not be available for this meeting, because I will be in Hyderabad for the IGF meeting and will give us an update next call conference.

As Agreed on the last AfRALO teleconference, please find attached the proposed Agenda for AfRALO monthly teleconference in Monday 1st Dec.2008. Your participation is important .
The meeting will select a Chair to Chair the meeting ( 5-10mins ) after quorum.
- Adoption of Last meeting Minutes ( Chair )
- Last meeting Action items ( Chair )
- Update on current issues ( Staff + Africa ALAC members ) to include : 1.Improving Institutional Confidence process (governance and accountability of ICANN. 2.after the end of the Joint Partnership Agreement with the US Government) 3.External Review of the ALAC (consultation now running)New Generic Top Level Domains (consultation now underway, AFRALO participant Needed to help with an At-Large response) 4.Role of Internet Users in the GNSO (consultation underway, ends 28 ovember) 5.Draft Implementation Plan for IDN ccTLDs - consultation ends 8 December)
- The summit : what AfRALO want ( Mohamed ) .
- Updates from ALS + Regional Activities (Present ALS)
- Any other Business ( AOB )
