Dear All, On behalf of Jonathan Zuck, ALAC Chair, we are pleased to announce that the ALAC have endorsed the ALAC Leadership Team's recommendation for Greg Shatan to succeed Justine Chew as the ALAC Liaison to the GNSO. As Justine will be stepping down from her current role as the ALAC Liaison to the GNSO by end of August 2026, the ALAC have endorsed the transition as follows: 1. That Greg begins to shadow Justine immediately, with the expectation of replacing her as the ALAC Liaison to the GNSO by end of August 2026 to complete the remainder of her one-year term which ends at the conclusion of the ICANN87 AGM on 22 October 2026; 2. That Greg be nominated and confirmed to begin his own one-year term beginning immediately after ICANN87, when the slate of ALAC Liaison appointments are made by the ALAC later this year; and 3. That the ALAC Rules of Procedure Adjunct Document Number 1 <https://icann-community.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/atlarge/pages/99699087/Rul...> on the Position Descriptions for ALAC Members, Liaisons, and Appointees; and the ALAC Rules of Procedure Adjunct Document – Metrics and Remedial Actions for Appointees<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1DMaU1yq7JZ71MqkgP37W86LSaO7iEa7zhVmSQZ05...>, shall apply to Greg as soon as he is seated on the GNSO Council as the ALAC Liaison. At-Large staff would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Greg Shatan on his appointment as incoming ALAC Liaison to the GNSO. Thank you.
