You have both proven your ability to serve ICANN on countless occasions and I am thrilled that the Board has recognised that you may continue to serve the ICANN community, albeit in a slightly different capacity. Facilitating the cross-community range of views on the Nominating Committee to a consensus is a challenge. I am saying this from personal experience, having served as a member of the NomCom a few years ago. What it exciting though, is that you will lead a group of people to find consensus on ICANN's big picture. It is challenging, but immensely gratifying too.
Having worked with both of you for several years, I can safely say that the Board has found excellent candidates and I wish you both every success in the work you are set to accomplish, with a committee of exceptional minds chosen by the community, for the community.
