Clearly, travel time is less important to them than cost to ICANN. I would only note here that -- *sometimes* -- flying west to fly east is not always the longer total travel time. If the waiting time between flights at the more logical airport is too long, the "illogical" routing can actually be faster.
Other travails are many - Every time i will tell them for Vegetarian Food and all the times it was not made except in the last trip where i had to remind them few times - They had given the instruction as Vegan !
This is not unique to ICANN, and beyond its capacity to fix. *Never* trust travel agents to properly register your: - seat selection - meal choice - frequent flyer number These can (and should) usually be double checked with the airline almost immediately after the booking is made.
