Dear all, Please be so kind to find my follow-up response below. Kind regards, Olivier -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Re: Response to the ALAC Statements on Community Applications Date: Sat, 21 Sep 2013 09:24:08 -0400 From: Olivier MJ Crepin-Leblond <ocl@*.com> To: Cherine Chalaby <cherine.chalaby@*.org> CC: Steve Crocker <Steve@*.com>, Secretary <secretary@*.org>, ICANN AtLarge Staff <staff@atlarge.*.org>, Olivier MJ Crepin-Leblond <ocl@*.com> Dear Cherine, thank you very much for your kind reply which I will forward to the ALAC for their information. I should point out that the NGPC might be confused in their response regarding (1) "Community Expertise in Community Priority Evaluation" (AL-ALAC-ST-0813-03-00-EN). This Statement, attached, was actually sent to you and the NGPC. It was not sent to the Panel Firm. The Statement which the ALAC has sent to the Panel Firm is another Statement entitled "ALAC Statement on the Community Priority Evaluation (CPE) Guidelines Update from ICANN" (AL-ALAC-ST-0913-01-00-EN). I enclose a copy of it here for your information - and you will notice it looks at the subject from an entirely different angle. On behalf of the ICANN At-Large Advisory Committee, we look forward to the NGPC's response on the ALAC's "Community Expertise in Community Priority Evaluation" Statement. Dear Olivier,
On behalf of the New gTLD Program Committee (NGPC), I thank you for providing the two recent ALAC Statements regarding: (1) Community Expertise in Community Priority Evaluation; and (2) Preferential Treatment for Community Applications in String Contention. The NGPC appreciates the attention the ALAC has given to these two topics and has reviewed the statements carefully. The NGPC understands that additional detail regarding these topics may be sent to it in the near future.
Please find attached the full response of the NGPC to the ALAC Statements.
All the best,
Cherine
