Response from the Board New gTLD Process Committee
I have received that attached message from the Board New gTLD Process Committee in response to the advice we provided on Top Level Domains related to highly regulated sectors. To the best of my knowledge, this is the first time that we have had such a response to any Board advice and I find this extremely encouraging. Alan
This is great news, Alan. I look forward to a positive engagement with the Board on this, as you say an unprecedented move. - Evan On 21 December 2014 at 22:09, Alan Greenberg <alan.greenberg@mcgill.ca> wrote:

Hi, Well it was one of the many things from ATRT2 that they agreed to do: respond to all advice from ACs. Yes, it is a good sign. On the issue itself, does the Board's response open the question of making sure that policies related to PICs become part of the picket fence consensus policy process? avri On 21-Dec-14 23:50, Evan Leibovitch wrote:

The Board agreed to respond and give a rationale (which they have been doing). To request a WG be formed is rather unique. The letter implies that the Board believes that PICs are subject to Consensus Policy. I have not (yet?) located the clause that stipulates that PICs are subject to Consensus Policy. Presuming we do not find it, that will clearly be one of the items to discuss. Alan At 23/12/2014 10:10 AM, Avri Doria wrote:
