SO: Am not sure I understand the above, is it the candidates that will tell us if there is need to meet them face 2 face or not?
There is no rule. When putting together the final agendas for Panama, I asked them if they wanted the opportunity to present themselves and address any questions and both said that they felt they were well known to the ALAC and that there was no need. Obviously we can change that if there is a desire within the ALAC. It will of course delay the vote, or at least force it to be done in a much shorter time. Everyone has the current agenda plans. Feel free to suggest what should be deleted or shortened.
I am planning to run the ballot Monday-Wednesday in Panama to be able to announce the winner on Thursday (presuming that there is not another candidate and presuming there is not a tie, either of which would delay the outcome).
SO: Okay its a good plan.
There will be adequate time for one-on-one discussions. And if anyone would like to pose a formal question to the candidates, we can request that they reply in writing on a Wiki page.
SO: If we can find 60min to have a meeting them as requested by Sebastian that will be good.
As above, what would you delete (or for the afternoon sessions, skip)? Alan

Dear all, For the record, when Alan asked Maureen and myself if we wish to have a F2F session in Panama, Maureen answered first and said she doesn’t see the necessity. I answered later saying I’m ready for everything: a F2F discussion, a wiki Q&A or nothing. Now that there is a request from our members, I do prefer a F2F session where we answer the members questions. We can do that with no delay in the selection process by having such F2F discussion Monday afternoon and starting the ballot just after, on Monday. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tijani BEN JEMAA Executive Director Mediterranean Federation of Internet Associations (FMAI) Phone: +216 98 330 114 +216 52 385 114 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi all Tuesday 8.30-9.00 is the only actual free timeslot we have on our schedule where we might all be able to discuss something as a group - so do we use it for the ALAC Chair nominations or do we use it for the NomCom nominations? I am quite happy to discuss any issues with individuals or groups of people who may want to chat during coffee breaks. I am arriving on Sunday morning too so I am happy to make myself available on Sunday if anyone wants to meet for a chat.
