I would like to offer a short statement for the position of Vice Chair and welcome any direct communication. I undertake to work closely with our new chair and our ALAC reps to address the ongoing internal issues APRALO have been faced with during recent months. I anticipate this would be done via direct communication with the ALS's and their representatives here on APRALO. Thus ensuring our meetings are more productive and less barriers are in place preventing participation. I will support the Chair to create a more structured meeting environment and will ensure that if our chair is not available, then I will be. I am realistic of the workload, hence my belief that the Vice Chair and Chair need to share the work load. I will also accept any advise Raj may offer (yes single malt whiskey). He is willing, dedicated and capable and accepted my nomination already. See more about him here: http://www.taiuru.maori.nz/ As I said in our just-finihsed informal conference call, I am in favor of having two Vice Chairs, so that we have more working capability. But instead of waiting for changing our bylaws, I guess we need to select one VC first. thanks, izumi _______________________________________________ APAC-Discuss mailing list APAC-Discuss@atlarge-lists.icann.org http://atlarge-lists.icann.org/mailman/listinfo/apac-discuss_atlarge-lists.i cann.org Homepage for the region: http://www.apralo.org
