Dear colleagues, In Mexico APRALO will present a session on Outreach and membership building from a perspective from our region. We anticipate a panel discussion with QandA afterwards. We are seeking any speakers with relevant experience with Web 2.0 technologies to join the panel discussion. Also if you have any networks in your ALS with FaceBook, Hi5, Bebo, Twitter etc etc could you please contact me. We are interested in having such reps on the discussion panel. Could you please contact me asap. We have deadlines to meet. Below is a draft summary of the session which I imagine will change dramatically. As a RALO we are responsible for being a voice of the Internet users in our region. Our region are high users of Web 2.0 technologies yet as a RALO we are not using the same technology as our end users to promote ourselves as being their voice to ICANN. AS a RALO we need to adapt to social change in a timely manner and attract more and more of an increasingly younger Internet population. Within in RALO's we have a myriad of networks that are not utilised and no easy to see data of where a country has representation or not. After this session you will be better informed about using social media and other avenues to attract and encourage membership participation via the use of social media, utilising existing networks and by viewing our examples.
