Dear Siranush and APRALO colleagues Thanks for the NomCom report card, and for the status update. Congratulations on completing very successfully a two-year term in this demanding and important position! I'd like to thank you for the time you spent with me at Durban, explaining the procedure and process of the NomCom. I look forward to continued support and guidance from you and the whole APRALO community. Dear APRALO colleagues,
I hope those who were in Durban reached your homes safe and sound as I did. First of all I would like to thank all those who were in Durban, especially Holly, my colleagues from different RALOs and ICANN staff for their support in my new position of APRALO Vice Chair. We had several very fruitful meetings related to our region, as well as meetings related to the topic of increasing the cross regional communication and cooperation between RALOs.
There will be some follow up steps and activities coming later, but at this point I am still wearing my NomCom hat, and sending you the final report card, which explains the work, which was done in Durban.
Would like to mention that we had very important decision making event in Durban and the whole selection process had been done in collegial manner with having unanimous consensus for all selected candidates. As you all know the names of selected candidates will be announced in September.
I had also opportunity to talk with Satish Babu, who will be the new NomCom member from APRALO starting from Buenos Aires meeting and shared my experience in serving in NomCom. I wish Satish full of luck in this very important but also very interesting and learning process.
Thanks again for all your support, my dear colleagues.
Best
Siranush Siranush Vardanyan Armenia
