Your preference is indicated by clicking on the box to the left of each name. The order of preference is from most preferred (your first click), to your lowest preference (the last clicked). You must indicate a preference for each candidate for your vote to be valid. The candidate with the highest preference will be appointed for a two-year term. The candidate with the second highest preference will be appointed for the remainder of Mahmoud Lattouf's term which ends in March 2011. Voting Method: The online election used the single transferable voting method (STV). This voting method is based on multiple rounds of voting whereas the candidate with the least preferences is taken off the ballot after each round. The preferences from voters having voted for the candidate with the least preference will automatically be transferred over to the remaining candidates. Voters only have to cast their preferences once.
