Dear colleagues, We would like to appoint 2 Interim Vice Chairs prior to January 19 2009 with the intention that either a vote will occur to elect the 2 vice chairs, or if only 2 nominees are made then an appointment for the interim positions will be made on the 19th. The thinking behind this is that we currently have no Vice Chair, I am the interim Chair and that the 2 Vice Chairs and Chair and Secretary positions will under go a formal election process during the General Summit in March in Mexico. APRALO have gone through many months of instability, no leadership, change and orientation in the executive area leading to massive delays in development. It is hoped that implementing an interim executive will minimise further disruption. Pavan our current Secretary (whom does a magnificent job) intends to seek re election in March. Pavan and I work well as a team and have made some major operational adjustments for the benefit of APRALO and to the satisfaction of our regular attendees. Therefore I also will seek nomination and election as Chair next year. With this thought and the fact we are all interim, we would like to operate a full interim executive that we can trial out for a few months prior to an official election. The intention is that by election time you should be able to vote with an educated mind on the effectiveness/ineffectiveness of the Interim executive. We currently have one nomination for an Interim Chair position. Les from the Pacific Islands which would make the interim executive representative in Oceania/Pacific/Asia(HK).
