I can afford the air tickets myself (using milage). I like to stay in a cheaper hotel, not Sharaton, and if Edmon or other HK folks could find a reasonable one, that will be very much appreciated. After discussing with Nick and some others, I hope to suggest another model. The support from ICANN: $5000, is not a lot and is hard to go around to everyone. I am hoping some of you can come to Hong Kong by yourself and/or find sponsorship from your organisation (or relevant organisations). I have chatted with ISC in China earlier about this and believe they are ok to come for the meeting directly.
For those who are interested to come but must need the ICANN funds support, please let us know so we can try to bring as many people over as possible.

I was originally thinking only AM, however, it seems like a full day meeting may be a good idea. That being said, I do have another event planned for the afternoon, but we can have representative from ISOC HK for the whole day I believe. Nick mentioned that ICANN will reserve a room for the whole day for us.

ICANN has confirmed to support the venue as well as to provide US$5000 financial support for the meeting:
- July 25, 2007 (Wednesday) - Hong Kong - Sheraton (www.sheraton.com/HongKong)
What this means is that it should cover everyone's accommodation (see attached email for hotel booking at the ICANN venue hotel) for 2 nights. If we have left from the accommodation, we may allocate some money to everyone's travel
budget as well.
