Dear All, Greetings after Brussels! I would like to thank all the members of APRALO and At-Large for investing their confidence in me for acting as an interim Chair of the region and chairing the meetings. Such was indeed my very first experience at ICANN At-Large and APRALO meetings. I would like to formally congratulate Prof. Hong Xue here on the list for being elected as an interim APRALO Chair for the remainder of Karaitiana Taiuru's term ending in March 2011 and assure her of my support and assistance whenever required.
From my first meetings with all of you, both face-2-face and remotely, I feel that I have the pleasure to be amongst a very creative and innovative Team and our ideas and efforts can indeed help us achieve the targets of APRALO. Lets continue our combined idea sharing activities for strengthening and increasing ALS participation in the organization as well as localize our efforts to the countries in our regions so that we can have wider participation with their voices.

APRALO held an extraordinary meeting during the ICANN Brussels conference on June 22nd to discuss the open APRALO Chair and Vice Chair positions.
Following the resignations of APRALO Chair Karaitiana Taiuru and Vice Chair Leslie Allison who stepped down in May, APRALO Vice Chair Fouad Bajwa acted as the interim Chair of the region and chaired the extraordinary meeting on June 22nd.
During the extraordinary meeting, it was resolved that Fouad should be moved from his one-year term, which ends in March 2011 to complete Leslie¹s two-year term, which will end in May 2012. APRALO will also shortly call for nominations to find a replacement for Leslie Allison who will complete the remainder of the open one-year term.
