Thanks Amal. I see that YODET has an active profile on Facebook, organizing mostly technical activities. I also see that there is good participation from women in their programmes. Noting from the by-laws of YODET that the organization and its programmes are largely for individual members and end-users, I think YODET would fit well within APRALO. If there are any others who know more about YODET or its leaders, kindly update us. One thing I find curious is that the splash page on the website of YODET (at http://yodet.org) gives the name of the organization as "Yemeni Organization for Emergency and Exchange Technology", which is different from the name in the by-laws (Yemeni Organization for Development and Exchange Technology). satish On Mon, Aug 14, 2017 at 10:09 AM, Maureen Hilyard <maureen.hilyard@gmail.com

Thank you Amal. Your recommendation means a lot.
I note on their website that their Board members are identified, and its good to see a women at their meetings, and a women's empowerment specialist on their Board. They look very organised and busy in their community.. and for their members.
Staff, in any of our documents, do we ask how long applicant organisations have been operating??
This group looks firmly established, but I was wondering with some other ALSes that we have lost touch with, it would be interesting to know how long they were operating before they applied to become members. Some groups may not have been with each other long and for members to be interested enough to stay with them, and us.

Dear all,
I'd like to support YODET_Yemeni Organization for Development and Exchange Technology's application for APRALO membership. It has been implementing valuable projects and activities recently that meet the needs of beneficiaries specially in the current security situation in Yemen. I also know some of the organization's leadership and how active they are , so I believe that YODET is going to participate actively in APRALO.
