I appreciate the fact that several members from this organisation took advantage of our outreach opportunities at the ICANN meeting so that it is not just one person from within the organisation who wants to participate in ICANN. They attended the India SIG as Satish mentioned. They reached out for themselves to find out more about ICANN BEFORE they joined. I know someone in Afghanistan whom I got to meet at APNIC42 conference is very much passionate about NITPAA and encouraging young generation to involve. By his work so far I felt they are sincere and passionate about it, so I would recommend to accept their application. NITPAA prsence as ALS in APRALO will be of a value to reach out to Afghan community and the region. Without knowing much about this organization, I also fully support as many such organizations to join our APRALO family as possible. When I was studying telecommunication over 30 years ago, I wrote in the preface of my thesis, the reason I chose this profession is because telecommunication is the most powerful tool for economic and social development. Nowadays, that is the Internet. Thus, I fully support all local organizations to work together for the proliferation of it, especially in developing countries. Looking forward to working together with ISOC of Afghanistan in the near future.
