So much for the claim to be looking for new ideas.
Those of us who have been participating in ICANN for a long time have an awful habit of telling newcomers why their ideas won't work, based on what we perceive as past experience. We can't continue to recruit people to join our ranks and then tell them their good ideas already failed. Some of those good ideas probably just needed the right people behind them or certain critical mass to get going. I'll try to keep an open mind on these. Thanks, Evan, for the reminder that we are not locked in to our past. Bret
