Now more than ever, having the right person for the job must override political showmanship.
I couldn't agree more. Being an effecive ALAC chair requires both administrative skill and a lot of unpaid time. If the ALAC can find one well qualified candidate who's willing to do it, that's much more important than whether he or she happens to live in the same part of the world as a prior chair. R's, John
