That is correct. Anyone may post a comment now - in the past, for some of the wikis, only those with user accounts could post a comment. Note that you can also email in a comment to an individual page. On 4 Apr 2007, at 00:53, jam@jacquelinemorris.com wrote:
Hi Wendy
Small correction - unfortunately only staff and at large committee members can directly edit the test on the pages of the socialtext site, but anyone can add comments, and they will show up on the same page, I believe at the bottom.

Quoting Wendy Seltzer <wendy@seltzer.com>:
I started a page at <https://st.icann.org/alac/index.cgi?alac_top_10_issues> and I see others have begun to add to it with similar suggestions:
Issues for the At-Large Community
1. Representation, not unrepresented "participation" in ICANN 2. Stability and privacy in domain name identifiers: WHOIS privacy 3. Stability and privacy in domain name identifiers: data escrow as contracted 4. Language compatibility (IDNs) 5. Competition in domain name registration, ability to leave an uncooperative registrar 6. Recognition of the public's role in contract enforcement, as intended beneficiary 7. Opening of additional, better avenues for the public's comments and concerns to be heard 8. Competition in domain name availability: new gTLDs, including IDN TLDs 9.
From the ALAC list:
1. Domain registants rights and the RAA revision process 2. Expired Domain takeover by registrars. 3. Whois privacy 4. Add Grace Period abuse and unethical domain tasting activities.
Please feel free to edit or comment. It appears we have a new wiki feature whereby any user can "comment" on a page.

Hi
I'll put these ( more to come ) at the top of these questions
1. Domain registants rights and the RAA revision process! RF still out there scamming people...
2. Expired Domain takeover by registrars. Anyone listening to pre-Lisbon meeting "tutorial" would be as amazed ad I did about the statements made.
3. Whois privacy. I really can see no use for public exposing whois data, except to ease the life and expenditures for IP lawyers, spammers and the like. Public access to whois data is **not** the same as publci display of whois data ( see the examples of other gTLD and ccTLD regsitries )
4. Add Grace Period abuse and unethical domain tasting activities.
I guess that most of these question have to due with abuse from registrars to their so-called customers...

Nick,
I would appreciate knowing what the ALAC believes are the top ten issues currently affecting the at-large community. Would you be good enough to raise this matter at the next ALAC monthly meeting so that we can eventually set a forward-going agenda that will tackle these issues?
Best regards, Danny
