Actually, it seems the ALAC is open to different types of people, if the recent nominations of ALAC representatives to the nomcom is any indication. It anyway proves that the domain name registrants / customers are open to have their suppliers represent their interests. As for the ALSes, now we had a nice signing ceremony, an ICANN baseball cap and elections for the RALO representatives to the ALAC, it looks like we are mostly unneeded until the next election.
