My god, what a stick-in-the-mud! As was pointed out above, if the communities don't want them they will likely fail. There are plenty of communities that are chomping at the bit. It does show that the best thing to do would be to forget about new TLDs, since the track record is abundantly clear that the alleged beneficiaries (not just in .XXX) uniformly don't want them.
