Dear Mohamed, As per our usual practice we sent an individual email to all ALAC members with their voting credentials on Monday, September 7th followed by an announcement of the start of the vote sent to the ALAC-announce list on the same day. It appears that at the time the announcement was sent to the ALAC announce-list you were subscribed to that list with an outdated email address. All our mailing lists with the exception of the ALAC-internal and the ALAC-working list are self-serve and community members can administer their subscriptions independently. We consider it to be of the responsibility of the members of the ALAC to update their subscription details to the public At-Large lists and to be informed about the start of ALAC votes. The announcements are also listed under the forum section of the atlarge.icann.org website. Please administer your subscriptions to public mailing lists directly under http://atlarge-lists.icann.org/mailman/listinfo. -- Regards, Nick Ashton-Hart, Heidi Ullrich, Matthias Langenegger, Gisella Gruber-White ICANN At-Large Staff email: staff at atlarge.icann.org On 15/09/2009 19:59, "Mohamed El Bashir" <mbashir@mbash.net> wrote:

Dear all,
We would like make a clarification with regards to the NomCom election results where there were more than one candidate.
The members of the ALAC were asked to rank the candidates by preference, with 1 (the first click made) being their first choice and 2 their second. Therefore, the candidate with the lowest score is the candidate who the majority of the voting ALAC members ranked as their first choice for regional NomCom delegate.
We can affirm that José Ovidio Salgueiro is the elected NomCom Delegate for Latin America and the Caribbean and Eduardo Diaz is the elected NomCom delegate for North America.
