Hey Nick, You answered this during the summit but I can't remember the answer. Back in February during the mini-ICANN meet in Vancouver, you were saying that you had hired somebody who's job it was to create "backgrounders" for current ICANN issues. By backgrounders, I mean something in plain English (can be translated to other languages) that give newbies a brief and understandable explanation about various ICANN issues so that all can participate more effectively. I have yet to see any of these come out (I think). Is this, too, something that will come on line when these two new hires start? Just wondering because this would be SO useful, D Darlene A. Which should hopefully be done and dusted before very much longer... On 7 Aug 2007, at 15:06, Robert Guerra wrote:

I think the reports are meant to be - monthly.
SSAC is an active group, one that at-large would do well to emulate . For example, a newsletter - i something At-Large should consider doing. It shouldn't be left to any one person to do - but should be undertaken by all the ALS's involved in the at-large community.
Submitting a paragraph one a month on at-large and/or general activities related to outreach being conducted by ALS I don't think is too much to ask for. Then again, i might be wrong..

I liked that report - short and to the point. Very clear and concise. Excellent way to track what is being done on a (quarterly?) basis.

Attached monthly SSAC report.
Time and resources permitting, might be a good idea for At-large to produce a report that's similar in structure.
