Joly and all, Egypt like most nations in the middle east do not fully or even to a great degree endorse or except within the boundaries of their respective countries, respect democratic "Core Values" as it were, and will not likely do so in my lifetime sparing some great conflagration or near biblical proportions. So Joly, your URL reference comes as no great surprise to me, and should not to those that are globally aware. The question is, should ICANN in it's meeting in Egypt espouse and promote such "Core Values" at the meeting, and is doing so within the scope or ICANN's mission? My answer is yes, but I doubt that ICANN as an organization has the courage or ability politically speaking by which to do so with any real or earnest conviction. Yet I remain hopeful that ICANN will take up the challange anyway... -----Original Message-----
