Wow, that's very strong. I just happened to be in Kobe now , where great quake hit in 1995 and more than 5000 citizens were killed. I had a long talk last night with my friend/city official who is one of these used the Internet to report not only about the damage but also the works to reconstruct the city immediately after. He has been invited to visit Armenia and Algeria to share their lessons. I found the initial report here: http://www.cdera.org/index.php At this point there seems no big damage, but as was most cases, the damage reports comes very slowly from the worst areas as they have problem in communications, among others. I hope that is not the case this time. izumi 2007/11/30, Jacqueline Morris <jam@jacquelinemorris.com>:

Earthquake - 7.3 - some structural damage but I'm fine. Not sure about electricity at home - heading there now. If no electricity and cannot connect will send word, but it seems as if all will be ok St Lucia got hit worse - epicenter was there. Jacqueline
