Thanks Izumi It was indeed difficult, but I think that we made a really great impact especially with regard to the interaction with other ICANN structures. It's the first time that we have been mentioned so much in such positive terms by other structures, Board, etc. It's a pity that we spent so much time on process rather than substance, but I hope that now that we've got most of that sorted, we can really start work - we've been given a lot of opportunity (challenge) to show what we are made of and what we can do! It's important now to follow up with real substance. The working groups are really important. Thanks to all for their hard work and patience with the ever moving San Juan schedule (it was a problem for everyone, even the Board) - have a good trip home, and get ready for the next steps. We have a month or so to develop our statement on the RAA, not that much more for quite a few additional issues. Will send out the Press release document today for ALAC review. I thought to post it on the ICANN blog as well - remember we have access to that forum. Dear AtLarge community guys, especially for those who have been in San Juan at ICANN meeting. It's been a real busy week for all of us, and quite exhausted now, for everyone, I assume. I thank you guys all for your hard and warm work and socilaizing. We faced many challenges, opprotunities, funs and bles, but all in all I think we did a reasonable job. I hope we could improve the function of ALS/RALO/ALAC as much as possible, and make more impacts within ICANN commnity, which is starting to recognize the new AtLarge, for the coming months and especially at the next LA meeting. I proposed to create a new working group, Working Group on IPv4 depletion and v6 migration, and hope to organize a workshop on this subject with other constituencies at the LA ICANN meeting. For those who are interested, please drop me an e-mail. Mailing list should start sometime soon, so does wiki space. With that, I say "Adios amigos/amigas!!" izumi -- >> Izumi Aizu << Institute for HyperNetwork Society Kumon Center, Tama University * * * * * << Writing the Future of the History >> www.anr.org _______________________________________________ ALAC mailing list ALAC@atlarge-lists.icann.org http://atlarge-lists.icann.org/mailman/listinfo/alac_atlarge-lists.icann.org At-Large Official Site: http://www.alac.icann.org ALAC Independent: http://www.icannalac.org No virus found in this incoming message.
