Dear Alan, It is unfortunate that a liason has to seat on two chairs. He can seat on one, the other, in between. One of my liaisons used to say he should put his ass on the side he belongs to and his feet in the dishes of the other side. Not always easy. Reshaping the form of the message so it looks having more sense does not modify its underlaying biased sense semantic. I fully understand that petty administrativia is necessary in every organization. However for the nine years I practice ICANN I did not see much of it in relation with some ways "make the Internet better", what is the published goal of the IETF for example. It could be of interest to compare what each organization brings to the Internet and to the people in comparison to the size of their Staff, budget, and openess to people contributions. If there was a widespread belief on the ALAC that it was nonsense to approve the current package of amendments, then it is too bad that it was not stated. I did not create the concept of the current vote. I did re-word it so it made more sense (and removed the phrase that you as "it sucks").
