I wish to stand for the position of liaison to the Presidents Strategy Committee. Based on the meeting we had yesterday -- the first time I had _ever_ seen or heard from the committee, combined with the low quality of that discussion -- I believe that such a liaison is required regardless of whether the PSC requires such role. ALAC requires someone to keep track of what PSC is doing, and also to ensure that PSC sufficiently solicits ALAC) at *any* time it wants to solicit the POV of individual end-users. According to https://st.icann.org/alac/index.cgi?president_s_strategy_committee_liaison ALAC has defined has a "Liaison", listed as Pierre Dandjinou..As we found out yesterday, Pierre was an ALAC-selected appointment to the PSC, but neither he not anyone in PSC sees themselves as an ALAC liaison role. I believe that such a link is needed and the precedent of a liaison exists. I don't want to wait another two years to hear from them and I believe that filling this role will address the lack of communications withthis important committee. - Evan
