Today ICANN put up a notice indicating that it will hold community discussions in Washington DC and Marina del Rey on the "Revisiting Vertical Separation of Registries and Registrars" report.
When are these meetings? In 2 days in Washington, DC and one week later in California.
Thanks to ICANN for the heads up. I'm sure that everyone in the non-contracted-parties world will be able to drop whatever they are doing and rush to these events. Of course, no remote participation is offered.
The notice is here: http://www.icann.org/en/announcements/announcement-2-09dec08-en.htm
It gets better. When I rsvp'd this is what I got back: "At this time detailed information is not available for the meeting scheduled on Friday, December 19, 2008 from 10:00 - 13:00 PST/18:00 - 21:00 UTC; we will notify you when the meeting logistics are finalized." So, where is the meeting??? ------------------------------------------------------ Who is General Error and why is he reading my drive?
