Thanks for the update Greg I celebrate this decision as i publicly voiced my opinion that Human rights were and are an Issue in Oman. I wish the decision was made much earlier, I can't imagine how much planning some people would have made already including flight reservations. Hi First question If human rights is an issue, why then did we have an ICANN meeting in Seattle under the Trump administration? Second question Is the human rights issue - even conceding (but I disagree) that the human rights record in Oman is worse than in other countries where ICANN has happily held meetings before - something that came up just now and was not known at the time when the meeting was planned and scheduled? My personal opinion is that ICANN’s decision has nothing to do with human rights but with the unstable situation in the Middle East. Whether or not we do have a geopolitical or cultural bias, it is still to be discussed.I am only keeping a record of the ICANN meetings that have been moved from the original location. I have Kenya, Morocco and Oman. Coincidence?
