ATRT 2 Letters to Senior Government Officials - Update
Dear Review Team members, I would like to provide you with the final update on the distribution of the ATRT 2 letter to senior government officials. In collaboration with the GAC Chair and GAC support staff and the Governmental Stakeholder Engagement Group, led by Tarek, the letter has been widely distributed. Please see the regional summary below. [cid:image001.png@01CE886A.A1751980] The distribution consisted of multiple steps: 1. Direct email to government officials, where email contact information was available. GAC representatives were copied. There were 59 such emails. 2. Distribution to the GAC membership during Durban meeting, as announced by the GAC Chair. 3. Distribution to the regional organizations that are GAC members - African Union Commission and European Union Commission - during Durban meeting. The African Union Commission and The European Union Commission, both GAC members, were asked to share the ATRT 2 letters with their member nations. Attached is a list by UNESCO region, providing the details of contacts made. The list contains names and contact information for GAC members (public information) and includes Titles and Organization for other contacts. Please send any additional contacts that you may have within your respective regions, to Alice and me. Staff is committed to send additional letters to newly provided contacts. However, our research and assembly of information to date has been extensive and considerably more time consuming than originally expected. Additional resources for further research are not available at this time. Best regards, Larisa B.
