Given the approval by Andrew Mack on the BC-Outreach list and the forward movement about the BC hosting an event on the last Outreach call, I booked the room so that we wouldn’t miss the deadline and the opportunity to move forward with an Outreach event. We can cancel the event going forward, but would not be able to add an event once the schedule has been finalized. I have an action item noted from our last meeting noted that Marilyn/Ellen/Lawrence were working with Riccardo and Chris Mondini’s office on a plan. Shall we book a call for the BC Outreach with Chris and Riccardo to discuss? Please let me know what the next steps should be. Here is the information I can share regarding food for lunch: At ICANN57, food will be served for everyone at lunch time. Participants can grab lunch at the venue and bring it to the meeting room. Given that the entire lunch break is 1h30 minutes long, all should have enough time to grab food and attend the meeting. (In India, it customary to serve lunch during a lunch meeting, hence food will be available in some form on site, but not specifically for the BC event. Therefore, participants must be prepared to bring their lunch-- unless other arrangements are made.) As previously mentioned, private catering for lunch is an option if the BC approves paying for it out BC funds. I haven’t seen a note requesting this. If private catering for lunch is requested/approved by the BC, I am happy to speak to Glen and ICANN staff about the next steps. As a friendly reminder, if the BC decides to pay for lunch catering the event, then I encourage the team to make a decision within the next few days. This way, we can submit the request to the venue.
