Andy, great that you are offering to take the lead to propose Outreach activities for the BC for ICANN61. Can you provide a written outline, similar to what Omar just provided for CROP for Asia and the additional BC support to reach the ICT leadership from 80 countries? I think our Outreach strategy requires that proposals need to be submitted in writing to the full Outreach Committee and as some of the members of the Outreach Committee will be attending ICANN61, along with many of our BC members, it would be helpful to include the full Outreach Committee in any ideas for Outreach. Can you submit a draft proposal to the Outreach Committee for review, before we make a decision about using the CROP funding for North America for ICANN61. Perhaps the week after January 1? We have time but want to avoid delaying review, so that we can partner with ICANN and with the local business community. I am speaking at the North American school of Internet a couple of days before and am working with the local organizers also on a possible 'give back to the community' event, where the BC might donate some hours of volunteering. Rotary International and the US Mission may be interested in some collaboration, which would give us some good visibility with the business community from PR, and other businesses who will be attending. I ask that we have a working call of the Outreach Committee, perhaps January 6, or the next week, to discuss and plan collaboratively regarding Outreach at ICANN61. Andrea can help us with a doodle to figure out a time that allows all of us to join the working call to discuss ICANN61. I reviewed the fellows approved for ICANN61, who are identified as from business and only two seem to be actually business constituency candidates. In the meantime, I am endorsing Omar's proposal, separately, and ask that the Outreach Committee endorse the use of CROP for Asia for Omar's Outreach activities during the WITSA World Congress on IT. It reaches only senior executives, so we can ensure that we are reaching decision makers who can help us build geo diversity for the BC from the Asia region. ________________________________ From: Bc-outreach <bc-outreach-bounces@icann.org> on behalf of amack <amack@amglobal.com> Sent: Wednesday, December 20, 2017 2:39 PM To: bc-outreach@icann.org Subject: Re: [Bc-outreach] CROP Trip Allocation for FY18 OC Team, I know many of you are traveling, but wanted to just put in formally what I said on our last call -- that I'd like to apply for CROP funding to attend ICANN San Juan. I'm already working on potential outreach events there (and would love your help). Would appreciate the committee's support. Have a wonderful holiday season! My name is Maryam Bakoshi, and I am the new CROP administrator for the GNSO in FY18. I am contacting you regarding the BC CROP allocation for FY18. I note that the BC hasn’t used any of its allocation for FY18 and I just wanted to remind you that trips can be taken up until June 30, 2018. However, please note that any trip(s) taken towards the end of the fiscal year would according to the guidelines, have to be approved 6 weeks before the trip date, so ideally an application has to be submitted and approved by May 15, 2018 at the very latest. As a reminder, please note that the BC can also use its allocation to send a member to the ICANN61 Puerto Rico meeting. I am available to answers any questions you may have either by email (crop-staff@icann.org)<mailto:crop-staff@icann.org)> or by joining one of your calls, if you so wish. I look forward to working with you on all CROP related matters. -- Many thanks, Maryam Bakoshi | SO/AC Collaboration Services Sr. Coordinator ICANN | Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers S: Maryam.bakoshi.icann | T: +44 7737698036
